Sidewalk Chalk...

A couple of weeks ago, before our good friends and neighbors moved, we let the kids play a little "unsupervised" with sidewalk chalk.
They had chalk everywhere!! I am glad Halle didn't follow everything Annabelle did, like putting chalk all over her face.
The kids had so much fun- I guess that's what counts!! We really miss the Poulsons:(

Happy Birthday Halle!!

Today is Halle's 3rd BIRTHDAY!!  I can't believe how fast three years has gone.  I still remember the day she was born- it feels like it was just yesterday.  We are so grateful to have her in our family.  She is such a wonderful little girl, one with A LOT of ATTITUDE, but yet still a wonderful child to raise.
Here she is eating her first birthday cake.  Whenever she sees this picture she comments on how messy her face is.  I am glad she takes notice to when she is really messy- she even likes to take care of her sister's messy face:)
Halle has changed SO much this past year.  I can't believe the difference a year can make.  She became a BIG sister, got potty trained, lost the binkies, got MORE ATTITUDE, sleeps in a BIG GIRL bed, had x rays, learned how awesome PRINCESSES are, and got some MORE ATTITUDE!!
Halle, we LOVE you so much!!  You are such a sweet little girl.  Our family would be so different if you weren't here.  These past three years have been so much fun with you.  I can't wait to see how you change in the next three years- ok well, maybe I can wait.  STAY LITTLE!!

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY HAISLEY!!

Haisley turned ONE on May 23 which was Saturday. She has changed our lives so much this past year. When I look back at this picture I am reminded of how blessed we are to have her in our family!! It was a little scary when she was born, but she was and is a fighter.
She was born at 6lb 15oz but soon dropped to 5lb13oz. She was so little!! I am so grateful for modern medicine and technology. Our lives would not be the same without HAISLEY!!
She is such a little pistol. It has been so fun to watch her personality come out this past year. I think we are going to have are hands full with her:)
Haisley is such a HAPPY child. She is usually content with whatever we throw at her. Hais has learned to share a lot during this first year of life especially since her big sister MAKES her.
She might not have much hair, but she has the LONGEST eyelashes. WE LOVE her to DEATH!! She makes us so happy. It has been fun to watch Halle interact with Haisley this past year. We love to hear the girls giggling at each other. It makes being a parent worthwhile.
These pictures were taken on her BIRTHDAY!! She was so tired but still did what we wanted her to do. We are so grateful to have such a WONDERFUL daughter. We truly can't imagine life without her. WE LOVE YOU HAISLEY!!

I Did It!!

Yep that's right- I ran the Ogden Marathon this weekend!! That's me in the pink shirt. This picture was taken at the final stretch of the race. I am totally exhausted right here, but the girls I trained with started running harder so I had to follow.
The last half mile seemed like forever!! I could see the finish line, but it took so long to finally reach it. This was the most challenging thing I have ever done in my life, but also one I would never change. Running this was as much physical as it was mental. I don't think I have ever had so many conversations with myself until doing this:)
Here are my training girls: Kim and Nanette. I would not have been able to run this marathon if I didn't have them. Thanks Kim for encouraging me to run it with you!!
Here is my beautiful family minus me and my sweaty, stinky body. This was the first time I left Haisley overnight and she have cared less if I was around:( Halle on the other hand cried hard when I said good-bye and had a hard time when I called her before bedtime. I am so grateful for all their support. Knowing my family was waiting for me at the finish line, enabled me to push through all the pain. Thanks Brad for everything!!
I am also very grateful for my Mom and sister, Lexi who came up to support me and help with the girlies. It meant so much to have them there!! Thanks guys:)

Fnish time: 4 hours 11 minutes (Hopefully next time I can do it a little faster.) I came in 46 out of 112 women my age and 803 out of 1680 (something) people that ran the full marathon. Not too bad for my first time:)

THANKS!!

There would have been NO Mesquite trip without these guys-  THANKS for letting us come and join you on your vacation.

Mesquite 2009

We got invited to go to Mesquite with some of our really good friends last weekend.  We had a BLAST!!  This is us outside our hotel- the Casa Blanca
I was able to swim with my girls the majority of the time.  Halle did not want to swim with her Daddy (I don't know why- maybe it was due to the fact that he almost drowned her)!!

Cute Lil' Hais
Princess Halle
This is Hazel and Haisley playin on the towels that I laid out for them to crawl around on.
Sisters!!
There was a huge pond in front of our hotel and there were tons of ducks and geese.  We went to good ole' Walmart and bought some bread to feed them.  Halle was doing such a good job or atleast we thought so.  Mrs. Goose had a different idea of the whole situation.  She wanted all the bread to herself and her little babies.  They were MEAN GEESE!!
Here, she is feeding some nice ducks!!
Haisley eatin' her Redvine- YUMMY!!
