Christmas

Christmas was a blast for our family.  It was so much fun watching Halle open her presents.  She isn't the fastest at unwrapping her packages, but she did understand that there was something fun inside the wrapping.  It is always fun to give and receive, but the best part of the holidays is spending time with family!!

Temple Square

Last night we went to Temple Square with my brother and his family.  We had so much fun showing the kids the lights and the beautiful statue of Christ.  I think everyone had a good time even though it was really cold.  Thanks Bill and Em for going with us!!

'Tis the Season

Christmas... is everyone done with their shopping yet?  I am almost done.  I am sick of going to the store especially with an 18 month old.  It seems like shopping takes twice as long when I have Halle with me.  She can be a lot of fun, but she also likes to throw tantrums!!  I am ready for the shopping to be done and the festivities to begin.  I love this time of year.   This season really makes me remember the important things in my life and not just the day to day challenges.  I am so grateful for the birth of our Savior and my wonderful family!!

Utah Flash

This is my cute sister Lexi- she is a sophomore at Orem High and is a Varsity Cheerleader!!

This weekend we went to a Utah Flash game at UVSC.  It was fun- they got their butts kicked though.  The whole reason we went was because Lexi was performing at half time.  They did an awesome job- Go Orem!!  Halle liked Flash the Fox from a distance, but didn't want to go up and say Hi (are you at all surprised by that one?).  

DONE!!

Brad is finished with classes for this semester.  He has finals next week, but Halle and I are truly grateful for this much needed break.  We hardly ever see him except for when we bug him while he is working at home.  I am sure he loves it when Halle knocks on the door to see him.  She loves her Daddy!!  One more semester and he is officially DONE with college.  He better not even think about going back- I would have to kill him first.

Halle Favorites...

I caught Halle doing some of her favorite things.  She loves to eat any kind of candy especially chocolate and she is careful not to get everywhere!! She also loves to play with her baby doll.  I can find her anytime of the day playing "Mommy" to her naked doll.  She hates it when I put on her clothes.  Halle wraps the baby in a little blanket and then pushes her in a doll stroller all over the house.  I am so glad that she is preparing to help me when the new baby comes in June!!

Advents

Every year the McCleary Family has ADVENTS- a 4 week count down to Christmas.  All the kids get ornaments (something that fits with what has happened to them that year) and the adult kids get a Christmas book from Mom and Dad.  My dad reads a Christmas story and then we have hot chocolate and goodies- my favorite part of the tradition!!  It is just an awesome time to get together with family and celebrate this wonderful time of year!!

Snow Days!!

Brad and I took Halle out in the snow.  It was really her first time playing in it- or should we say being nervous to even touch it!!  She is such a GIRL.  We did get some good pictures of her touching a snowball that Daddy made, but she would not play in the untouched snow.  What a weirdo.

Festival of Trees

We decided to take Halle to see all of the trees at the Festival.  I enjoyed myself far more than Brad and Halle.  Brad doesn't have much patience for those kinds of things and Halle doesn't have much patience whatsoever!!  

BIG NEWS!!

We have some exciting news to tell everyone- Halle is going to be a BIG SISTER in June!!  The baby is due on her birthday, but the doc said he would take the baby on June 2nd.  We have the privilege of choosing the day since I will have another c- section.  We are so excited and can't wait to see what blessings this new baby brings.

Thanksgiving Week

This week has already come and gone.  We have been extremely busy with trying to visit Brad's family and mine.  Holidays are about family, but it doesn't make it any easier trying to split our time with everyone.  We enjoyed TWO wonderful turkey dinners- hopefully we can drop some of the pounds in the coming weeks, but don't get your hopes up with Christmas right around the corner.  I had an awesome birthday- Thank You Everyone.  Brad went and got me a breakfast sandwich before he had to be to work at 8:00.  Then Brad's mom took me out to lunch- Birthdays are Fantastic.  We are going to dinner tonight and then my mom made me a cake so we are celebrating it with them tonight!!

Finally Part of the Bloggin' Family

We have finally decided to become bloggers.  It is such a great way to show off our little June Bug (although she isn't so little anymore)!!  She is growing up so fast.  It is amazing how fast time goes.  Brad is crazy right now with working full time and going to school full time.  It will be so wonderful when his is graduated (April won't come soon enough)!!  Halle and I just play at home most days and do the usual stuff that "stay-at-home" moms do.
