Thanksgiving Point Gardens

We went to the Thanksgiving Point Gardens last week with some of our neighbors. Spring is such a beautiful time of year. I love seeing the flowers and trees bloom. It is a reminder to me that there is life after the death of winter:) Bring on the HEAT!!

Easter

Easter is such a special holiday for me- it is a time to reflect upon what my Savior has done for me. I was blessed to be assigned to teach the Young Women of my ward on Easter. I say blessed because during the week I was able to focus on the real meaning of Easter instead of the commercialized aspect of it. I truly loved learning more about Jesus Christ and what he went through for each and every one of us. I am so grateful to have the knowledge of the Atonement and the Resurrection.

Springtime!!

Haisley loves riding her scooter. She has spent countless afternoons riding it in the neighborhood and we have even brought it to some of Uncle Clayt's baseball games.

We went to the Dinosaur Museum with some of our friends. The girlies had a blast!!

We love going to Uncle Clayton's baseball games. We spend a lot of time watching his sports. I guess it's payback time since he has grown up going to all of his siblings games whether it was basketball, cheerleading, baseball, softball, etc he came to all of them.

We've been busy...

I am trying to make a few updates of what we have been up to these past couple of months. It's been crazy to say the least. I am so grateful for a new year and new opportunities!! Hopefully I can do better at everything this year- here's to hoping, right?!! So feel free to scroll down and see what fun things we've done:)

Hillam Christmas Party

The Hillam Party is always a highlight of the Christmas season. I think I might have enjoyed it a little more had I not been in charge of it.

Santa always comes at the end of the party and brings presents for all the kids. It's so much fun watching all the kids wait patiently for their turn. Both of the girlies did a great job- no tears!!

Lucky for us Buddy the Elf also made an appearance at the party:)

Live Nativity

There is a neighborhood in Lehi that puts on a Live Nativity. I bundled up the girls and we went. It is such a wonderful experience. I love showing my kids the real meaning of Christmas. They had a great time even in the freezing cold (I think it was in the teens that night).

Festival of Trees

Every year we brave the crowds and attend the Festival of Trees. The girls love it. This year we went with the Wilde's and the girls had so much fun with Brea.

A year ago some of my friends from high school lost their little boy to a terrible kind of cancer, DIPG. They put together a tree for him and we had to stop by and check it out. They did a great job!!

Thanksgiving 2011

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. Since both of our families are always in town we split the day up and hit both families. It's always fun to get together with everyone.

Lexi and I had fun on Black Friday. We stayed up all night and shopped our hearts out- or atleast I did:)

Halloween 2011

The boys came over on Halloween to have some grub before they hit the houses for some loot. My girls love these boys. They act like they never see each other if it has been more than a couple days. We are so grateful they just live a a couple miles away.

Brad has been an awesome father the last couple of months while I have been a crazy woman with my new church calling. While I was @ an activity he carved pumpkins with the girlies. A couple days later he won our ward Halloween pumpkin carving contest!! He is such an amazing artist!!

Halle doing a fantastic job on her Jack-O-Lantern

Haisy carving out her pumpkin

Here we have "a mean witch" and "Tangled." These are their words- not mine!! Halloween was so much fun. This was the first year that we have actually stayed in our own neighborhood. The girlies LOVED it!!

Haisley's First Day of Preschool

Since Halle is in school everyday we had to get this girl into something!! She loves going to Mrs. Jennifer and Mrs. Jessica on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. It gives me a little time to volunteer in Halle's class and sometime for just me:)

She is so cute!! We love our Haisley!! She is completely different from her older sister. She is constantly keeping us on our toes. You never know what she is going to do.

First Day of Kindergarten

Yes my little girl started KINDERGARTEN a couple months ago, but I am just now getting to this post. What's new?!! I can't believe she is already in school. A part of me is happy and excited for her but I am also a little sad- she will be in school for the next 20 years or so (depending on how long it takes her to finish college). Life will never be the same:(

Her momma and sissy miss her every morning when she is in school. After about an hour after we have dropped her off Haisy asks if we can go get her. I guess being home with just Mom is too boring!! Halle's teacher, Mrs. Knight, is awesome!! Halle loves her. She makes going to school fun. I was so worried that she would hate school, but she is excited to go everyday!!

The girls (minus Danielle- we missed you)

Summer 2011 Continued...

Fish tacos became a favorite meal for the girlies. We are A LOT of them!!

She's a Graduate!!

Can't believe I have a GRADUATE; man that must mean I am getting old!! Halle graduated from Preschool a couple weeks ago. She made so many cute little friends. It's just too bad most of them will be going to another elementary school:(

The GRANDMA'S made an appearance:) Thanks for supporting her.

Halle's cute teachers: Mrs. Jennifer and Miss Jessica

We can't forget who supported her the most throughout this year- her family:)

McCleary Cousins

My lil brotha and his family came into town for a coupla days so we had a lotta family time. The cuzzins love each other!!

Komen Race for the Cure

A few weeks ago we walked in the Komen Race; such a great cause for a community to get together. Red Olive designed billboards and brochures for the event- good job Vince:)

The momma and her girlies in their first of many races together

Lets not forget the father and his girl- they walked hand in hand. How cute!!

Being a Saturday morning, it was extra hard for us to wake up early. The girlies were especially tired even to the point of being extremely grumpy!!

Finally a finish line to cross!!
I was truly grateful that I was walking in this race to help find a cure for such an awful disease and not as a survivor. I am so grateful for my health!!!! There were so many women there that had fought such a terrible disease and won, but there were some walking in honor of someone not so lucky to have won. Here's to finding a cure!!

Happy Easter:)

Hope everyone has/had an enjoyable EASTER!! We sure did. Halle woke up a lil too early to see what the Easter bunny brought (well, atleast the momma thought she did since she was up til the wee hours of the morning finishing the dresses). Although it was a bright and early morning we loved spending the day as a family. It is just wonderful to know that I can be with my family forever. I am so grateful for the knowledge the gospel brings me. My SAVIOR lives!! He loves me and everyone else. How awesome is that- when you feel like no one else cares for you- HE does:) HE died so that I can live again!!
